This leather is made from cow kip tanned with vegetable tannins and dyed and processed at a factory in Sumida Ward, downtown Tokyo. The wax is carefully applied by hand to the leather, which has been dyed by skilled craftsmen. Finally, the surface is pressed with a high-pressure iron while baking to create a beautiful shine, and the hand-applied wax creates a contrast between light and shade, creating a deep color finish. This process, called pool-up, causes the folded part to turn white, allowing the user to enjoy aging that reveals their individuality. In addition, due to the characteristics of tanned leather, the overall texture is stiff at first, but as you use it, it becomes more comfortable in your hand and becomes softer. You can keep it in good condition by just wiping it dry and not using leather preservation cream.
