Content introduction
This is a collection of Robert Kraft's works by Schoenberg (1874-1951), a popular series by NAXOS. This is an interesting album that includes mainly choral works but also chamber music. The string trio was commissioned by Harvard University in 1946, after he emigrated to the United States. The motivation for composing the song was based on an episode when he had an asthma attack, and although it is written in twelve tones, it sometimes has humorous moments. The two choral works are wonderful pieces of music that are common to the inorganic worlds of Moses and Aaron. The ``Suite'' for seven instruments is also a rich piece full of tension.
